Nov. 21 (Bloomberg) -- NEC Corp., losing share to Sharp Corp. and Toshiba Corp. in Japan's mobile-phone market, said its first- half loss widened fivefold because of a slump in sales.
Sales this fiscal year are projected to fall 5.1 percent to 4.68 trillion yen from a year earlier, on slowing demand for mobile phones and because the company sold its personal-computer business in Europe, NEC said.
