The latest on Gustav:
Gustav remains a tropical storm, churning toward Jamaica this morning. The storm will batter the island today with its torrential rain and gusty winds. Life-threatening flooding and mudslides could ensue. The Cayman Islands will become the next target of Gustav and its fury on Friday.
The area of high pressure currently guiding Gustav will guide the storm close to western Cuba this weekend as emerges into the Gulf of Mexico. The storm will then take aim at the central Gulf Coast early next week as a powerful hurricane, one that poses a serious threat to lives and property.
