Pre-Gustav oil bear trap?
The oil drop before Gustav is either the mother of all bear traps, or it truly indicates that the oil rally is over. I would lean on the trap side of things, as I clearly remember the Friday before Katrina...if anything, stay on your toes. No matter how much help we get from overseas, it takes time to ship refined crude to our shores.

"This is going to be a bad one, folks. Gustav is looking stronger all the time, and it's going to be a mighty powerful hurricane once it reaches the Gulf of Mexico. The storm will become at least a Category 3 hurricane and could easily reach Category 4 or 5 intensity on the Saffir-Scale. Given all the latest information, it has become increasingly evident that Gustav is going to have a major impact on the central Gulf Coast early next week.
Currently, we are showing ground zero to be the central Louisiana coastline, but the entire coast from Corpus Christi to Pensacola is not out of the woods. MAKE PREPARATIONS NOW! Again, Gustav is going to become a very strong hurricane capable of inflicting extreme damage."
