Sept. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Goldman Sachs Group Inc., the largest of the two remaining independent U.S. securities firms, said third-quarter profit fell 70 percent, the sharpest decline in its nine years as a public company, and said it remains ``well positioned.''
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Best Buy Co., the No. 1 U.S. electronics retailer, said Tuesday that its second-quarter profit fell 19%, hurt by increased spending and sales of less profitable items such as notebook computers and video game consoles.
U.S. Aug. core CPI up 0.2% as expected.
Futures are tanking further. We are now critical as NQ approaches the March lows. QQQQ, now at 41.48, closes the March gap.
XLF is down 4.5%.
